Service Description

If you have always wanted to grow your own Sweet Williams, Sweet Rocket and Honesty but never quite got it right - this is the course for you. Your course will start with a guided tour of the cut flower garden here at Holly House. We will then chat about biennials, what is a biennial and how they differ to annuals. How and when to plant and how to ensure you are growing in the most sustainable way you can. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 6 per session and refreshments will be readily available. You’ll Learn: • All about biennials and how they differ from annuals. • How to sow and plant your seeds • Tips on how to nurture your plants and your soil. • Tips on cutting, conditioning and arranging your flowers for spectacular displays. • Time Saving Techniques: Just grow beautiful flowers with minimal effort. • Sustainable Gardening: Grow flowers that are not only beautiful but also eco-friendly. Who’s This For? • Absolute beginners who want to learn the basics of growing flowers. • Experienced gardeners who want to grow more cut flowers. • Flower lovers who want to bring beautiful homegrown blooms into their homes. What’s included: • All seeds, compost and pots. • Protective apron • All equipment • Refreshments • Course notes to take home Please note that courses are approximately 2 hours long and are held in a marquee in the Flower Garden, please wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Come and spend a few hours in the flower garden and be inspired to start your biennial journey from seed to vase.
