Have you always wanted to grow your own cut flowers but don’t know where to start or don’t believe you have the space? This course will take you through everything to need in order to fill your house with home grown flowers from April through to October from JUST ONE BED. Your course will start with a guided tour of the cut flower garden here at Holly House. We will then discuss different techniques for designing your bed, what to plant and when and how to ensure you are growing in the most sustainable way you can. You’ll Learn: • How to plan your bed and prepare the ground for planting. • Choose seeds, tubers and bulbs that’ll give you a variety of shapes and colours all season long. • How to sow and plant your seeds • Tips on how to nurture your plants and your soil. • Tips on cutting, conditioning and arranging your flowers for spectacular displays. • Time Saving Techniques: Just grow beautiful flowers with minimal effort. • Sustainable Gardening: Grow flowers that are not only beautiful but also eco-friendly. Who’s This For? • Absolute beginners who want to learn the basics of growing flowers. • Experienced gardeners who want to grow more cut flowers. • Anyone with limited space – our course is designed for small gardens – you will be amazed what you can grow in just one bed. • Flower lovers who want to bring beautiful homegrown blooms into their homes. What’s included: • All seeds, compost and pots. • Protective apron • All equipment • Refreshments • Course notes to take home Please note that courses are approximately 2 hours long and are held in a marquee in the Flower Garden, please wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Come and spend a few hours in the flower garden and be inspired to start your journey from seed to vase. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 6 per session and refreshments will be readily available.
